Leek CC win on the Rollers

On Thursday the 22nd of October, It was Leek CC V Congleton CC in a Roller Racing Challenge held at Den Engel in Leek,  Fourteen riders took part in a number of close races which included solo and team races over 250, 500 & 1000 meter distances. Tony Cope of Leek CC won the 500 meter scratch race overall. Alex Coates son of Leek CC member Rich who was competing for Congleton CC on the night won the Devil Race & Rich Whalley and Rob Howson won the Team Pursuit for Leek CC. So overall it was a win for Leek CC on the night but there was a lot of really close races which made for some great action and the return leg in November should be very interesting to see who comes out on top. The evening was a great success and the Club would like to say a massive thank you to Swinnerton Cycles of Fenton, Stoke on Trent, for once again providing the rollers & helping to run the event. Also thank you to all the supporters and holders. Congleton CC will be hosting the return leg of the the Roller Racing Challenge on the 19th November 2015 at there headquarters.
