Eighteen riders set out for Knustford, heading out down Mill Street and past Rudyard before reaching Bosley lights and Gawsworth. We re-grouped after my wardrobe malfunction as a leg warmer was dropping around my knee for some reason so not good for riding. We passed through Broken Cross and on to Nether Alderley and Alderly Edge and Great Warford before reaching Knutsford and The Lambing Shed cafe where we soon driving the purple haired waitress in to fits of laughter with our choices. Rich C had brought his hip flask and passed it around to spread some festive cheer.
We headed back via Toff and Lower Peover before passing through Middlewich and Warmingham before reaching Sandbach. Here we split in to two groups and for some unknown reason I was part of the first group in Cheshire on the flat? The other group soon caught up with us in Ashbury and we headed through Hightown before tackling the limb to Newtown and on to Rudyard. Paul H suffered another breakdown so the main group arrived back in Leek at 2.15PM after a fun 64 mile ride. Thanks to Phil G for leading us through the pot holed roads of Cheshire.
